Matt Manning

Matt Manning is the Founder of DevGlobal where he continues to be a builder, leader and contributor to teams that is committed to change the world one person, project and program at a time. He resides in the Greater Seattle area where he enjoys many athletic and personal endeavors across sport, coaching and mentorship for the next generation.

Ridwan Sorunke is the executive director for DevAfrique. Under Ridwan's leadership, DevAfrique has expanded operations across several countries in Africa.

Rhiannan Price

Managing Director

Rhiannan Price

Rhiannan Price is a Principal Consultant and Managing Director of Inclusive and Sustainable Development at DevGlobal Partners. Rhiannan has over 15 years' experience working at the intersection of technology and development, leveraging Artificial Intelligence, very high-resolution satellite imagery, crowdsourcing, and other digital tools in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She's passionate about the potential for technology to break down our siloes and help us leapfrog to a more resilient, sustainable world.

Dr. David Bergvinson

Dr. David Bergvinson

Dr. David Bergvinson has worked in sustainable agriculture development for over 30 years, with diverse experience in crop improvement, seed systems, agronomy, pest and disease management, agrometeorology, research management and policy formulation. As Director General of an International Research Center (ICRISAT), David translates science into prosperity for rural families at a national scale, especially for rain-fed farming systems in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. David initiated Digital Agriculture at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2012 and scaled Climate Smart Advisory Services as Principal Scientist at aWhere. As Senior Advisor at DevGlobal, David works with a range of organizations with a focus on resilient, nutritious, and sustainable food systems in emerging markets.

Carolyn Johnston

Data Science Advisor

Carolyn Johnston

Dr. Carolyn Johnston, Ph.D. is a statistician, mathematician, and geospatial technologist with over 25 years of experience as a scientist, manager, and director of R&D in location technology companies such as Here Technologies, Maxar, and Microsoft. Dr. Johnston holds eight awarded, and 10 pending, patents regarding image processing, algorithm development, feature extraction from synthetic aperture radar and LiDAR, text and image processing from satellite imagery, and autonomous navigation for automotive OEMs.

Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka

Advisor

Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka

Musa Kpaka is the Chief Technical Adviser to the Chief Minister in the Office of the President, seconded by the Tony Blair Global Institute. In this role, he supports the Presidency in policy formulation and delivery on H.E President Bio’s top economic priorities. Musa also part of the leadership team at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, where he advices the Minister to deliver on the National Agriculture Transformation Programme. Before returning home, Musa worked at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), where his work focused on transforming the agriculture sector in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Musa is a trained development economist from Sierra Leone; he has a master’s degree from Harvard University and he received his PhD from the London School of Economics.
