Program Summary

The DevGlobal Associates program is designed for recent graduates or individuals in the later years of their undergraduate or master’s degrees who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the tech and global development industries. Individuals who are further along in their career but looking to change industries are also encouraged to apply. Associates will contribute to projects across our two main practice areas: Geospatial and Community Building. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cross-functional teams, develop a wide range of skills, and make a tangible impact on our projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project teams in the Geospatial and Community Building practice areas.
  • Participate in research, data analysis, and project planning.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of events and meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of geospatial analyses and mapping.
  • Support health initiatives through research and data management.
  • Engage in cross-functional teams to deliver project requirements.
  • Learn and utilize DevGlobal’s systems and tools for collaboration and project management.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or postgraduate program.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Interest in technology and innovation.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different projects, teams, and time zones.

Associate – Various Practice Areas

Summary of Duties

The Associate will contribute to projects across DevGlobal’s primary practice areas including Geospatial and Community Building, with opportunities to support global health, agriculture, and sustainable development initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience, skill development, and the chance to make impactful contributions to client projects within a globally connected team.

Position Term


6-month opportunity, ~ 15 hour a week,  tentative dates June to December with the potential of starting sooner

FLSA Status





Monthly stipend of $1,500 USD

Job Duties

– Collaborate on standard project deliverables (e.g., stakeholder analysis, communication status reports).

– Support project teams in practice areas of interest.

– Assist in research, data analysis, and event coordination.

– Utilize technological solutions like Miro, QGIS, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Suite.


Required Qualifications


– At least 18 years of age

– Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited college or university

– Proficiency in MS office and an interest in global development

Preferred Qualifications


– Experience with Microsoft Suite, Miro, and/or geospatial software.
– Knowledge of global development organizations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly on a remote team.
– Self-starter with the ability to work across multiple projects.

Physical Requirements



Predominantly sedentary work in an office environment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
